    Event from : August 18, 2016 to August 18, 2016 (All Day)

Rachel Wetherington of Brookwood Elementary School won our Mother’s Day Future Jewelry Designer contest! Rachel, along with lots of other talented and creative fourth graders submitted drawings of jewelry and stories about their families and mothers. Five finalists were decided upon and the drawings and stories were posted on Barron’s Facebook page. Friends and family voted and chose the winner.

Rachel’s submission reads, “I made braided bands in this ring to symbolize how our family is weaved together to support each other.” She designed a beautiful ring and our master jeweler made it for her! She adds, “My mother teaches me every day to cherish the wonderful memories and love that we have as a family which is why I made this ring for her. I know she will cherish this ring forever." We are very proud of all the participants and look forward to another Future Jewelry Designer contest!

     Congratulations Rachel!
